Adelaide International Scholarships 2023-24 | Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the University of Adelaide International Scholarship, the following eligibility criteria may apply.
Applicants need to have successfully completed at least the equivalent of an Australian first class honors degree (this is a four-year degree with a major research project in the final year). All qualifying programs of study must be successfully completed.
Scholarships will be awarded on academic merit and research ability. Extracurricular achievements are not considered.
International applicants must not have a research qualification equivalent to an Australian research doctorate degree from the University of Adelaide or, if pursuing a Research Master’s degree, equivalent or higher from the University of Adelaide. Should not have research qualification. Australian Research Master’s Degree.
International applicants who have not provided evidence of meeting the minimum English language proficiency requirements for direct entry by the scholarship closing date, or who have not met the entry requirements for the intended program of study. have completed a pre-enrollment English program for, are not eligible. .
Those conducting research through remote candidature are ineligible.
Candidates are required to be admitted to the University of Adelaide as ‘International Students’ and must maintain ‘International Student’ status for the duration of their enrollment at the University.
International applicants are not eligible if they have already started the degree for which they are receiving an award unless they can demonstrate that they were unable to apply in the previous cycle.
Scholarship holders must commence study at the University of Adelaide in the semester in which the scholarship is offered.
Applicants who applied and were eligible for consideration in the International Scholarship Round, and were unsuccessful, will automatically be considered again in the following International Scholarship Round, assuming they are accepted for that intake. Have a valid offer of candidacy for
The offer of a scholarship is contingent upon a student not being offered another award by the Commonwealth of Australia, the University of Adelaide, or an overseas sponsor.
Scholarship Benefits
Adelaide Scholarships International (ASI) provides;
course tuition fees for two years for a Master’s degree by research and three years for a doctoral research degree (an extension is only possible for doctoral programs),
$28,854 for two years (2022 rate, calculated annually) for a master’s degree by research and three years for a doctoral research degree (an extension is possible only for doctoral programs), and
For Postgraduate Research (Subclass 574) visa holders, this award provides mandatory standard Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the student and their spouse and dependents (if any) for the standard duration of the student visa. Provides a World Care policy.
