GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS

Every year, the Government of the Czech Republic offers scholarships as part of international development cooperation. The Czech Republic provides scholarships for studies in the Czech language (in subsequent master’s study programs) and in English (in subsequent master’s and doctoral study programs).Those interested can also receive funding for an annual language and preparatory course. Scholarships for study programs in English are awarded only in selected study programs.

BARRANDE FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM 2023

The Barrande Fellowship Program is a joint Czech-French scholarship program. Its aim is to support the scientific career of Ph.D. students from the Czech Republic and France. The program enables them to receive financial support either for a short-term research stay or for a (multi-year) study stay under joint supervision (cotutelle). While the supported duration of a short-term stay varies between 1 and 3 months, cotutelle students receive a stipend for a 5-month stay abroad each year for a maximum of three years. Students coming to the Czech Republic from France receive a monthly stipend of CZK 35,000. Any Ph.D.
