UM Holland-High Potential Scholarship Duration
13 months for a one-year Master’s program
25 months for a two-year Master’s programme
UM Holland High Potential Scholarship Program 2023-2024 Amount:
- Accommodation costs €12,350* (13 months) or €23,750* (25 months) paid to students by the UM International Services Desk
Health and liability insurance of €700* arranged and paid for by the UM International Services Desk
The visa application costs €207 which is managed and paid by the UM International Services Desk.
Tuition fees are arranged and paid by the UM International Services Desk at cost.
Pre-academic training costs are arranged and paid for by the UM International Services Desk

Eligibility Criteria and Requirements
All candidates must meet the following:
You are a national of a country outside the EU/EEA, Switzerland, or Suriname and meet the requirements to obtain an entry visa and residence permit for the Netherlands.
You do not have dual citizenship from an EU/EEA country.
You have applied for admission to a participating full-time master’s program at Maastricht University for the 2023-2024 academic year.
You are not more than 35 years of age as on 1st September 2023.

The curriculum vitae (latest) should be no longer than two A4 pages.
Letter of motivation. Please use the template for a motivation letter. This template will focus on your motivation for the scholarship.
Evidence of academic excellence
Personal statement of financial need
A reference letter. We have developed scholarship reference letter guidelines; Please send them to your referee.
Letters of recommendation must be dated and written no earlier than February 2022.
