Qualifications for University of Tasmania Scholarship

To qualify for the University of Tasmania Scholarship, a candidate must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Required Language: English
  • Eligible Countries: All countries of the world
  • Successful applicants must have completed at least four years of higher education and have obtained at least an Honors degree of second grade or equivalent.
  • The prizes are only available to those who will be pursuing a full-time Masters or Doctoral degree in 2022.
    Candidates will not receive the same prize, scholarship or salary for performing the proposed program (if that income exceeds 75% of the basic RTP level).
  • Income that is not related to the applicant’s Higher Degree in research (eg work income) or income earned by the Higher Degree candidate in research but not for purposes of supporting normal living expenses should not be considered.
  • Applicants who graduate at the same level as the proposed nomination, or at a higher level; and / or hold an Australian or University Government Research Award sponsored by more than 6 months are eligible to apply and will be considered in a competitive selection process but will not be prioritized for other applicants who have not yet done so.
