Scholarship Benefits
This scholarship is partially funded and will help you with your study costs for one academic year.
For Undergraduate and Postgraduate Students: 10 scholarships worth NZ$10,000 are available for both undergraduate and postgraduate candidates.
For Postgraduate Students: There are 9 scholarships worth NZ$5000 available for postgraduate study program candidates.
If an application for accommodation is submitted to the Accommodation Service within the deadline, scholarship recipients will be guaranteed an offer of a place in the dormitories.
Eligibility Criteria for the Victoria Tongarewa Scholarship
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be an international student who has paid full tuition fees
To be eligible for this scholarship, start either your first year of undergraduate or postgraduate study.
Applicants are not eligible for this scholarship if:
If applicants’ secondary education is completed at a New Zealand school.
If candidates have completed the Foundation Studies Program or English for Academic Purposes (EAP).
If candidates are enrolled at one of our international partner universities as Twinning or Study Abroad students.
If candidates are enrolled in the same Victoria University of Wellington degree program in their second year of study.
